Khloe Ferguson (nee Joe) moved to the small oil and farm community of Lloydminster, Alberta, in search of work in the oilfields. As she makes her way up the ranks in the rigs, marries the woman of her dreams and has a daughter, she continues to fight something deep within her. The fact that she is a woman in a man’s body.
Since coming out, she has been demoted from her rig manager position, divorced her wife, and denied custody privileges. And now, with her recent reassignment surgery, she is on disability as her body heals. This film is about Khloe’s perseverance through hate, bigotry and finding the small gestures of kindness in this isolating town. We champion her strength and the simple life she leads now. To fight against yourself and ultimately, to free yourself to become who you always felt you could be.

WARRIOR WOMEN (2019 Peabody award nominee)
Directors: Christina D. King & Elizabeth Castle
Credit: Associate Editor
WARRIOR WOMEN is the story of Madonna Thunder Hawk, an AIM leader who cultivated a rag-tag gang of activist children - including her daughter Marcy - into a group called the "We Will Remember" Survival Group. Together, Madonna and Marcy fought for Native rights in an environment that made them more comrades than mother-daughter. Today, with Marcy now a mother herself, both women are still at the forefront of Native issues, fighting against the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota.
Through their story, the film explores what it means to balance a movement with motherhood and how activist legacies are passed down from generation to generation in the face of a government that has continually met native resistance with mass violence.
This long form trailer was created as a submission for various grants and acceptance into the prestigious Sundance Labs. The success of the trailer not only secured the film admittance into the Sundance Labs but it also helped to award additional funds to continue filming and editing this incredible story.

Behind the mask: The batman dead end story
Director: Eric Dow

In the winter of 2003 commercial director Sandy Collora and some of his friends set out to make a low-budget short film for his demo reel. What they wound up actually doing was making one of the most elaborate, most watched, most talked about and most controversial short films ever made: Batman Dead End. Considering the amount of press and admiration Batman: Dead End garnered, everybody expected it to quickly propel director Sandy Collora into the Hollywood stratosphere, but instead his career failed to launch. Now, we get the inside look at the legend of the superhero and the people who help create it including Collora, comic book legend Neal Adams, and convention all stars Sean Clark, Shawn Reeves and Jordu Schell. Behind The Mask: The Batman Dead End Story is an incisive look at the making of the short film, and what it takes to make it as a Hollywood A-lister.
