This video and the following 6 videos were created as part of the STRIVE team at Meredith in partnership with Pfizer. I on-boarded during the COVID pandemic to direct and produce the campaign’s final 7 videos. I was given a lot of creative and financial control, as long as I balanced the budget. It was a fun challenge to bring a different style to each video, to tell each story clearly and simply, and to meet each brand’s requirements. With the limitations of COVID-19, I gained a lot of experience shooting in person with a micro-crew and strict safety protocols, directing talent and crew remotely, and overcoming the challenges of directing self-shooting talent.

Half moon cay 20th anniversary - holland america line

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Holland America Line’s private island, Half Moon Cay, they wanted to do something special. I worked closely with the marketing team at Holland America Line to strategize and film 12 activities, bars, and dining options over 5 days with 4 actors and 4 teams of photography (principal, drone, 360 and still). The result was enough gorgeous, evergreen content to promote the island for years to come.

As part of a second wave of updating their video content onboard and online, Holland America Line contracted FACULTY to create 15 more videos promoting their branded partnerships with O Magazine, America’s Test Kitchen, mixologist Dale Degroff, BBC Planet Earth, Billboard, Lincoln Center Stage, and more. I worked with a team of directors to divide and conquer this project, directing this Gelato spot in addition to spots for ATK, Drink Demos with Dale Degroff, the O Magazine partnership announcement, and more.

For two and a half years I worked with an incredible group of people as the Director of Video Production at Go Folk Yourself LLC. This was a small company dedicated to the promotion of emerging folk artists in and around New York City. While I was there I directed, produced, shot, and edited dozens of music and promotional videos for artists, bands, and GFY itself. Below is a list of additional responsibilities and achievements.

  • Managed team of 12 volunteer editors and shooters

  • Created and maintained schedule for video production and deliverables

  • Directed and produced GFY Summer Festival 2011 – coordinated 10 bands to play at all day, free concert in Cooper Park, Brooklyn, oversaw crew of 12 people

  • Helped fund a successful Kickstarter campaign for the GFY Summer Festival 2011

  • Managed YouTube monetization and social media outreach
